Color splash is one of the simplest photoshop ideas so it was a great refresher to see what parts of photoshop I remembered how to use. The picture on the left is a sunflower I completed freshman year when I knew a little more about photoshop. The second picture is the new sunflower I completed which didn't turn out as well because I haven't fully relearned everything that I previously knew about photoshop. In the newer edit I used my own picture that I took of a sunset a couple years ago.

"Darkness is the canvas and light is the brush."
In order to capture these images we left the shutter on the camera open while the lights were off completely and we drew designs with small lights and due to shutter being open it was able to capture every movement made by the light and created designs. The first two photos in this slideshow are designs drawn by solely myself, in the last photo as a class everyone did something random, I chose that picture to include because I drew the green flower that is sitting there in the midst of all the scribbles and I feel as though it symbolizes someone being able to hold themselves together in the midst of craziness or stress. With so many ways of capturing images today, do you think photography will become a lost art? Within the near future, I do not believe photography will become a lost art in fact I believe that despite the fact that there are so many devices that allow people to take meaningless photos, photography is still on the rise with several people becoming more and more interested and more and more job opportunities for photographers. Describe your favorite photograph, and explain why it's so memorable to you. My favorite photograph happens to be the one that is used at the top of this page. I was on vacation in Florida with my family and the sunsets every night were so beautiful every picture looked amazing but I like that one specifically because I hadn't realized until after I took it that there was a bird diving in for a fish just to the right of the reflection of the sunset on the water and it really adds to the picture so that it isn't simply another sunset photo. List 10 different Genres of Photography. Which genre would you like to explore the most? Landscape Sport Fashion Portrait Close-up Photojournalism Satellite Candids Nature I would love to explore landscape, candids, nature, and sport photos the most. The photos below are my own personal photos that I took that exemplify the photographic genres: nature, close-up, and landscape. Describe the way the elements of art interact with the principles of design?:
In nearly all pictures the elements and principles of art interact in many different ways. For example most pictures have color and within that picture there may also be balance or pattern. The element of color and the principles of either balance or pattern interact with one another making the photo more appealing to the eye. An example of color and balance could be a sunset over an ocean. The different colors created by the sunset and a balance within the picture such as the sun being in the center and the horizon line being perfectly horizontal would make the photo stand out. Is it easy to show only one element and one principle in one photo? Why?: No because within one photo there is likely to be several different shapes, colors, patterns, lines, or even more. To just choose one of each would be extremely difficult. The elements of arts are line, shape, form, value, color, texture, and space. The principles of art are rhythm, movement, pattern/repetition, variety, balance/symmetry, emphasis, proportion, and contrast. We took a field trip to Tangerini's Farm to take photos of these elements and principles. These are a few of the photos that I took.
Our first assignment is to post a picture of our favorite thing. I chose this picture because it actually happens to have two of my favorite things in one picture which is volleyball and swimming. Volleyball allows me to escape reality and solely focus on one thing which is either improving my volleyball skills or just having fun which is why it is one of my favorite things.
